Traffic warden's hat stolen
A TRAFFIC warden's hat was stolen while he was on duty in a busy high street.
The warden was on patrol in London Road and Wolverton Road in Stony Stratford when a man came from behind and stole his cap.
Pc Carl Stokes, who is investigating the incident, said: "It maybe the case that the cap was stolen as a trophy. There is also the potential for further criminal activity should the offenders decide to wear in an attempt to deceive members of the public." The theft happened outside Cycle King outside the Plough pub between 3.45pm and 4pm last Saturday (February 18).
Anyone who witnessed the theft or has information about it should contact Pc Stokes via 08458 505505 or call Crimestoppers free and anonymously on 0800 555111.
